The Brooklyn Museum Announces Public Programs in April for Visitors of All Ages

The Brooklyn Museum announces its lineup of April programming, including the 2025 Brooklyn Artists Ball After Party, Brooklyn Poetry Slam, and the return of Brooklyn Pop-Up Market.

The Brooklyn Museum announces its lineup of April programming, including the 2025 Brooklyn Artists Ball After Party, Brooklyn Poetry Slam, and the return of Brooklyn Pop-Up Market. Additional programs and special events amplify the Museum’s exhibitions and collections, serve the surrounding community, and support learning through the visual arts.

Museum Members enjoy complimentary or discounted tickets and early access to public programs.

Brooklyn Pop-Up Market

Sundays, April 13–November 16 (except September 7), 10:30 am–5:30 pm
Pavilion, 1st Floor
Free and open to the public.

Stop by our market to shop one-of-a-kind, handmade items from local artisans. This weekly event features more than 20 vendors offering artwork, jewelry, fashion, home and apothecary goods, and more.

Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra: Sublime Landscapes

Sunday, April 13, 2–4 pm
Auditorium, 3rd Floor
Advance tickets are available through the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra at $15 for adults 65+ and Museum Members and $20 for non-Members; same-day tickets are $25 at the door. Free for ages 16 and under.

Explore music’s transformative power in “Sublime Landscapes,” a concert by the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.

Stroller Tours: Breaking the Mold

Wednesdays, April 16 and 23, 10–11:15 am
Decorative Arts and Design Galleries, 4th Floor
Tickets are $32 (per family; 1 adult, 1 child) and include Museum general admission. To add another adult for $16, contact youth.family@brooklynmuseum.org.

Enjoy an interactive, stroller-friendly tour of Breaking the Mold: Brooklyn Museum at 200. Designed for children up to 24 months old, this baby-friendly program features touchable objects, songs, exploration of artworks on view, and an opportunity to connect with other adults.

Plants to the People with Herban Cura

Brooklyn Poetry Slam

Thursday, April 24, 7–9 pm

Register in advance and pay as you wish (suggested admission: $10). A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Amplify the voices of Brooklyn at this pay-what-you-can slam, presented by poets and cofounders Mahogany L. Browne and DJ Jive Poetic.

2025 Brooklyn Artists Ball After Party

Brooklyn Museum’s biggest night is back! Join the scene at this fundraising event, hosted by the Young Leadership Council. Dance to a live DJ set by Swizz Beatz, enjoy a curated cocktail menu, explore the galleries after hours, and experience one-night-only artist activations—all while supporting the Museum’s mission to bring people together through art.
