Nanno
Flourished probably circa 630–600 B.C.E., Colophon, Asia Minor
All that we know of Nanno comes from the poet Mimnermus, who dedicated some of his most important works to her and called them by her name. She played the flute and most likely knew Mimnermus because of her skill, since he set many of his poems to the music of the flute.
