Educator Workshop: Personifying Porcelains

Education Studios, 1st Floor

Educators: join us in this art-making workshop to explore shapes and textures found in Porcelains in the Mist: The Kondō Family of Ceramicists. Look at objects ranging from freehand-painted vases to self-portrait sculptures and discuss the stories these works tell. Then, head to the studio and use air-dry clay to create a piece that relays an important message. Discuss how you can adapt the activity to your educational setting and empower students to make their own meaningful ceramics.

No prior ceramic experience is necessary.

Tickets are $10 and include Museum general admission.
