This month’s Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra concert features a Russian program, with music by Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, and Borodin. It starts off with Modest Mussorgsky’s frantic Night on the Bald Mountain, followed by principal cellist Cynthia Racine as the featured soloist for Dmitri Shostakovitch’s First Cello Concerto. The final work is Alexander Borodin’s Second Symphony.
