Description | Oval, cylindrical teapot, which tapers abruptly towards the rim. There is a row of beading at the top and bottom of the cylinder. The spout is straight and narrow and the handle is of wood, fastened to two silver sockets. The oval lid is hinged, slightly domed, and terminates in an urn-shaped finial. On either side is a shield-shaped medallion containing a monogram. It is suspended from sprays and flanked by symmetrically arranged garland. CONDITION: Good. |
