Description |
Depicts the East River looking toward Brooklyn from Koch's home/studio at 865 First Avenue in Manhattan. The location in the foreground is now the site of the United Nations building. In a 1966 interview (see transcript in object file), Koch notes that some of the smokestacks belonged to a Con Edison building. |
