Porcelain pitcher, white body with vitreous glaze. From round foot rim, body rises in general cylindrical shape with slightly bulging center to wide opening at top. One side of top edge extends into a high arching spout; opposing attached looped handle splits into a "V" at juncture with top edge. Body and handle covered with molded design of corn and cornstalks. Vertical seams from mold visible on side with spout and on opposite side and handle.
CONDITION: Fair; all-over brown specks and pock marks in glaze (firing imperfections?); all-over dirt or other substance, especially on raised surfaces; small chips on foot, top of handle, and edge of spout. |
