Description Cup (a) and Saucer (b), glazed earthenware. Cup (a) of heavy, irregular, sculptural form, hollow at larger side to form negative volume of cup and with deep indentation at handle side for thumb. Upper section and interior are yellow; lower section is medium green, air-brushed at horizontal midpoint onto yellow. Saucer (b) of egg-shaped form with steep, curved rim and circular depression off center of interior for cup. Interior is yellow; exterior is medium green, which is also air-brushed over rim to edges of interior. CONDITION - (a) Cup: Small hairline crack in glaze at rim near handle. Glaze chips at raised foot rim. (b) Saucer: Small specks of glaze flaws at curve of rim on one side, probably from original production.
