Description Chair "No. 1" of Finland plywood and tubular blackened steel. Chair back and seat formed of two separate pieces of plywood, trapezoid in shape with rounded corners and sides (back is smaller than seat); both molded to conform to human figure. Two steel tubes placed close together form "spine" and join back to seat. Two front and two back legs each formed by continuous piece of tubular steel bent into high arch; tubular stretcher connects front and back leg pieces at top of arch; two short tubes soldered to each leg piece on either side of stretcher attach to underside of seat with rubber-lined metal plate and screws. Legs are canted slightly outward and terminate in flat-cut feet. CONDITION: Excellent.
