Description |
"DCM" side chair of molded plywood and chromed metal. Back is trapezoidal piece of plywood, narrower at top and with rounded corners; seat is a larger, trapezoidal piece of plywood, wider at front and with rounded corners; both back and seat curved to fit contours of human body. Short, horizontal metal tube with flattened disk ends attached to back side of chair back with screws and rubber shock mounts; a tubular metal "spine" is soldered to the center of this tube; the spine runs down and underneath seat where it is attached with screws and rubber shock mounts. Two front legs and two back legs each formed by continuous piece of tubular metal bent into an inverted "U" (front leg piece is higher); each leg piece soldered to spine underneath seat. Legs terminate in disk feet with black rubber collars.
CONDITION: Good; scratches on chair back and seat; metal parts are tarnished and have rust spots; rubber parts corroded. |
