Description Rectangular blond sycamore frame (a) and upholstered, removable lounge seat / seat back (b). Frame (a) consists of symmetrical sides: the arms connect to the rear and front legs, forming an inverted "U" with right angles at corners; each member is a square length of lumber. Four stretchers link all legs at seat level and form a low seat frame. Proper left side has drop magazine rack hinged to stretcher and suspended by chains from legs. Proper right side has fall tabletop hinged to arm and supported by two triangular gate leg supports, which are secured at the arm and stretcher. Two stretchers across the seat frame and one across the back legs just below the arms support the lounge seat (b). Continuous, padded rectangular seat / back is sectioned and contoured to body. Upholstered in green striped fabric (not original) and covered with orange slipcover. This "Statton" chair is part of line the manufacturer called "Easier Living." CONDITION: generally nicked and scratched all corner edges; large splits and scratches on outside of magazine rack; overall frame seems tight and secure. Lounge is lumpy.
