Catalogue Description:
Upper part of painted wooden sistrum, probably a funerary piece. Handle missing. Condition: General condition good, handle missing, edges somewhat chipped, two small pins originally inserted in upper part for unknown purposes, one of which is now missing. The sistrum is of conventional type with handle ending in a Hathor head. Lower part of handle was apparently attached separately. Background painted white, cross-bars painted dark blue-green. Possibly a votive offering, more probably a piece of funerary furniture.
