Catalogue Description: Heavy circular bronze mask of Medusa (?) in high relief, with open mouth. Probably an architectural detail. The workmanship is good and suggests an early Hellenistic date. Similar details in terra cotta are known from late Hellenistic coffins in Egypt. Condition: Surface is dull and slightly corroded. Considerable dirt still remains on the surface. Upper left edge dented, with small portion missing. Small hole drilled in top, probably by Wilbour for suspension.
