Catalogue Description: Sculptor's model or trial piece of a recumbent lion used as an architectural detail. The animal is at repose with his tail curled over his haunches. He faces straight ahead. His mane is indicated conventionally. It is apparently of plaster and was cast. Condition: Forepart is weathered, one ear and front paws missing.
