Catalogue Description:
Colorless pressed glass bottle molded into shape of seated male figure holding a staff; he is barefoot, has long hair and a long beard, and is wearing robes and a short turban (perhaps a philosopher?). Cylindrical neck and ringed mouth of bottle rise from turban. Bottle for Poland Spring water. CONDITION: Fair; all over dirt, especially in crevices; manufacturing imperfections, including several bubbles in glass, a foreign substance enclosed in the glass and surrounded by small cracks in the back of the "seat," and a rough spot on underside in center where bottle was broken off mold.
