Catalogue Description:
Silver-plated brass torah shield. Cartouche form with crown finial; at center, Tablets of Law flanked by lions standing on scrolling vines; beneath lions the frame for holiday plaques (holiday plaque now missing); scrolls and vines decorated both sides of support; at bottom framed medallion bearing Yiddish inscription indicating names and date (1898), Rococo style. Condition: Good, holiday plaque missing.
