Catalogue Description: Straight mouth; rounded shoulders; protruding belly that contracts downward; circular foot. Includes "seed mouth" cover with pearl-shaped knob. Painting in cobalt blue underglaze: 1. "ruyi" pattern on shoulder. 2. Interlocking chrysanthemum flowers on belly. 3. Lotus petal pattern on neck. "Ruyi" pattern on the surface of lid. Base has "fu" (wealth) written in cobalt-blue underglaze. Interior of over and lower section of circular foot are unglazed. Clear glaze cover the body. Daily used ware. Condition: Intact From accession card: Porcellaneous stoneware with underglaze painted in cobalt blue under a clear glaze. Porcelain jar with peony design. Condition: excellent, with some pitting in the glaze. a=jar, b=lid.
