Catalogue Description: Tawny, densely woven plain weave rectangular fabric with a pair of decorative purple strips and decorative edging at the weft ends. One warp side has a selvage. At the ends, the purple strips, flanking the center of the fabric, have a thread overlay pattern. The thread overlay pattern consists of groupings of three threads in even intervals. The weft ends have short fringe, a strip of plain weave, and then an openwork design created by the absence of weft threads. Condition: Good. Fringe is missing from one weft end. Faint staining throughout.
