This drawing uses an aerial perspective to depict great detail of reveal daily Inuit life; catching seals, walrus and other wild-life. From his personal perspective as an Indigenous hunter Pootoogook can accurately depict such a scene representing his specific knowledge. He portrays himself on the far right of the drawing as well as other knowledge of his specific Arctic world; a combination of traditional life combined with these elements of the modern world that are useful to him. In this way he portrays some of the complexity of Inuit life experiences.
