Catalogue Description:
This work is a fine example of the Burntwater rug design, which originated in 1968 in the Navajo area north of Rio Puerco near Sanders Arizona. It combines elements of the Ganadoan and Two Grey Hills in the weaver's use of edge-like designs. The rug uses a combination of commercial and vegetal yarns in a complex, rich earth tone design. We have no rug currently in our collection of this pattern.
