Catalogue Description:
Dark brown/black velvet ground with heat applied gold painted tissue. Design of wavy vertical and horizontal lines forming a grid into and around which are heat applied gold painted tissues shaped as flowers, leaves, butterflies and dragonflies. The artist impregnates natural materials with pigment and through the application of heat transfers the color and image onto fabric. This creates an original textile.
