Catalogue Description: Pair of moccasins covered with beaded blue and red thunderbird (Swallow-tailed Kite?) designs on a white ground. According to Sean Standing Bear (Osage) 10/20/2000, a non-Osage person might have made these because the birds are positioned upside down. Osage design dictates that the birds would point skywards.
