Catalogue Description:
(a) Ivory bodied, large spherical body, tapers downward to a wide neck and slightly domed and flared round foot; opposing and molded, applied openwork handles with leaf design. Aesthetic style design, brown transfer printed. On interior below rim, narrow chevron design, design repeated at base of foot. Front: at center, two overlapping ovals, one with seascape with centered small sail boat and figure and second with overall floral design with horizontal, thin, asymmetrical branches and stylized open and closed flowers with elongated leaves. Back: semi-circular, stylized, abstracted floral design amongst floral design of stylized open and closed flowers with elongated leaves and horizontal, thin, asymmetrical branches. (b) conforming, slightly domed, spherical top with 'u' shaped cutout. Asymmetrical decoration, center: large rectangular reserve with landscape with large windowed structure to proper left and to proper right a small hut surrounded by tall trees. Upper right: semi-circular, stylized, abstracted floral design and seascape with centered small sail boat and figure; superimposed over thin, horizontal branches and stylized open and closed flowers with elongated leaves. Chevron pattern at rim and at eight o'clock semi-circular abstracted floral design; applied open work finial with leaf design. Condition: Very good; (a) three small manufacturing flaws in interior.
