Catalogue Description:
(a) white bodied, molded, elongated narrow diamond shape with molded beaded rim, raised on a narrow, slightly canted, diamond shaped foot. Aesthetic style, overall, asymmetrical dark blue transfer printed design, repeated on opposing sides. Proper right: fan with floral and butterfly design, orange circle with stylized star and green circle with square grid. Proper left: circle with fretwork design in blue and orange above asymmetrical thin branch with dark blue elongated leaves and pale green and orange flowers. On foot at base, branch with flowers. (b) conforming lid, elongated narrow diamond with elongated 'u' shape cut out at one end. Asymmetrical design, pale green reserve with notched corners depicting a stag and tree in landscape; small green circle with square grid. Next to cutout: circle with fretwork in blue and orange, branch with flowers and dark blue fan with floral and butterfly design. Elaborate applied openwork handle with three interlocking circles with large center ring on end with raised painted, dark red jewels. Condition: large crack on lid and center ring detached, but in place.
