Catalogue Description:
One of pair of mugs, with 85.163.3. Composed of a straight, cylindrical cup with two rows of horizontal striations (one near the top, the other near the bottom) to which is attached a handle in the shape of a clef-note (a circle at the bottom attached to a straight vertical section which joins a short, straight horizontal piece at the rim of the mug). CONDITION: Mug with considerable wear due to use. All surfaces scratched from use and polishing. Base and interior similarly worn, with plate loss to top surface of handle.
