Catalogue Description:
Hook worn on a man's belt to hold a dagger. Consists of a rectangular loop at the back and an upward-curving hook at the front, topped with the stylized head of a peacock. The sides and top are inlaid in silver tracery. The man's belt goes through the loop with the hook facing upward, then a loop on the dagger's sheath or at the top of the dagger's hilt is hooked over the hook.
