Catalogue Description:
Standing Bodhiattva Lokeshvara, depicted with six arms, some of which were once holding attributes, including at least one lotus, that are now void or largely illegible. The figure wears an elaborate jewelry and a tall crown with an image of a seated Buddha at the front. The image has a tenon at the bottom, behind the feet, where it is inserted into a separate double-lotus base. The base may or may not be original to the object. The god's six arms may associate him with more esoteric practices, as most Lokeshvara images of the period are depicted with two or four arms.
