Catalogue Description:
Circular plate with slightly flared concave rim, underglaze transfer printed and overglaze painted decoration. Decoration on rim consists of repeated sections of segmented twisted ribbon transfer printed in black underglaze and a band of yellow painted on inner margin. In center of well is a roughly circular scene transfer printed in black underglaze and over-painted in yellow. In center of scene is a tree; at proper right a sawn portion of a tree, two saws and an axe; at proper left a wheelbarrow with chopped wood inside and a bird flying over it. Condition: Good. Shows some scratching and wear from use, some discoloration in one area at rim, and a rust mark near rim in another spot.
