Catalogue Description:
Animal form, cut from silver sheet, hammered and chased. The figure has been identified as a long-haired ram, possibly an ibex, with full body, long horns and slender hoofed legs, mouth open. The body is engraved with hair markings that accentuate the sense of powerful movement beneath the animal's long and heavy coat. 2003: Condition: Intact. Arrived mounted with jeweler's wire on a plexiglas mount (6 5/8 x 7 3/4 x 1 1/2 in.).
