Catalogue Description:
Light blue-green amulet in the form of an achondroplastic dwarf on low, flat base, eyelet on nape of neck; figure standing, facing forward, hands on hips, knees flexed; figure naked except for tight-fitting skull-cap; head with long, slightly slanted eyes, broad nose, and wide, straight mouth; large ears set at steep angle; body showing flaccid breasts, shallowly incised median line, deep circular navel, distended abdomen and swollen buttocks, penis and scrotum indicated; back with deep line following contour of spine and extending into buttocks. Figure made of very fine-grained faience covered with extremely light glaze. Condition: Front of base chipped and partially gone; chip on proper left side of abdomen just above penis; small stain on left breast; glaze mostly gone from left shoulder and breast.
