Catalogue Description:
Tubular chromium frame armchair with seat, arm rest and back rest upholstered in olive green Naugahyde. Frame of 1 inch diameter tubing bent to form U-shaped seat back (parallel to floor) and arm rests; tubing continues into two vertical lengths that serve as the front and only legs; then continues into U-shaped base. Upholstered, U-shaped seat secured to frame with horizontal stretcher across front legs and two vertical lengths (1/4" tubes) that connect seat to the seat back at rear corners. Upholstered padded unit in shape of an angled crescent forms continuous back rest and arm rests, attached along seat back frame with screws. CONDITION: Frame is rusty throughout. Donor reupholstered in 1950s. frag.76.99.1. - Olive green Naugahyde fabric fragment from textile that was used to reupholster chair.
