Catalogue Description:
Pitcher. Jug in glazed buff earthenware, pear-shaped. Molded C-shaped handle, separately molded and applied. Molded high relief scenes on front of three putti standing, sitting and lying in a landscape and on back 2 putti in landscape. Below this is a band of geometric decoration and above this is a band of grape vines. Condition: Bottom: repaired; one crack goes up to the belly; one piece has been repaired at rim. Chips inside rim; chip and crack outside of rim. Bottom handle chipped; crack near handle. Holes that previously served for hinges of metal lid (now missing) have been filled.
