Catalogue Description: Pitcher. Tapering cylindrical form with circular foot and octagonal neck. Molded glazed buff earthenware. Modeled D-shaped handle, not separately molded and applied, terminating in a scroll at thumb rest. On belly: high relief decoration on front and back of eastern scenes: man on a camel and a servant on an elephant. Under and above this is a band of repetitive stylized decoration on the bottom, then a cut-and-card pattern. The neck is decorated with arches/ swags with scrolls and acorns. Condition: Minor chips on foot rim. Old repairs to front of foot rim. Glaze crazed. Top rim near lip on front has crack and chip.
