Catalogue Description:
Unglazed, spherical with anthropomorphic spout at top. Rounded bottom. Lower third of body decorated with short incised diagonal lines (possibly created by rolling twine over surface). Upper two-thirds of body decorated with same design, covered with nine rows of small (c. 1/8" diam.) globules at front, top of body. Anthropomorphic opening (1" diam.) at top of neck, consisting of roughly modelled eyes and nose with opening serving as mouth. At each side of neck, arms indicated by 4" long thin, wavy ridges, fingers indicated at ends. CONDITION: Minor cracking and pitting throughout. Some surface dirt. Large indentation/pit (2 3/4 " x 1") on proper right rear side.
