Catalogue Description:
Dinner plate, glazed earthenware. Black transfer printed decoration with orange, gray and mustard polychrome on white body. Flared rim with narrow black and overprinted mustard border. Rim with continuous border of alternating gray and mustard hexagons, the gray hexagons with diamond motif in center, the mustard hexagons with symmetrical conventionalized acanthus leaf motif. Hexagons separated by elongated orange rectangles with pinched waists and inverted short end, a fleur-de-lys at either short end. Similar border of reduced size at center of plate forming a ten-pointed star. CONDITION - Very slight wear; several minor chips to rim; firing flaws to underside.
