Catalogue Description:
Cast iron vessel in the shape of a calabash gourd cut in half longitudinally, so that the stem becomes the pouring trough; three small conical feet; iron bail handle. Red-lacquered wooden lid in the shape of the other half of the gourd; spherical brass knob. Wood storage box. Condition: 1 1/2 in. old repair on one side of vessel.
