Catalogue Description: Dinner Plate, Porcelain. White body. Cream ground. Brown border to rim edge. Band of six spaced paired green and brown rosettes with winged insects superimposed. Inner rim with inscription bordered by green and brown bands: "NOTHING - WAS - EVER - LOST - BY - SILENCE - AND - THOU - HAST - ALL - THE - LONG - NIGHT - FOR - THE - HUNTING". Large central medallion with outer band of paired brown heraldic animals alternating with green and brown leaf motif topped by squatting small figure, flanked by two running animals with long tails. One of a set of twelve dinner plates, all different, with quotes from R. Kipling; see 1990.145.16 - .27 CONDITION - Very good original condition.
