Catalogue Description: Baked clay funerary cone inscribed for the “Royal Scribe, Ramose”. The inscription consists of six columns of text within a circular frame. The stamped inscription appears in raised relief. The text states that Ramose held his titles during the reign of King Taharqa. The outer surface of the cone is brick red with the remains of a buff slip preserved in many areas. Condition: Text only partially preserved; buff slip only partially preserved; small holes; dirty.
