Catalogue Description: Glazed (the glaze has turned brown) steatite scarab inscribed with the name of Khaseshere- Neferjotep. The piece is pierced from front to rear for suspension. The piece has a high prothorax which is separated from the elytra by a single line which curves towards the rear. The front legs are notched. The inscription is as follows: “The Good God, Khaseshere, begotten by the God’s Father Hanankhef”. Condition: Glaze gone brown and discolored.
