Catalogue Description:
Fly-whisk made of date fibers. The piece is made from a cluster of long fibers which are doubled in half and then bound 2 1/4 cm. from the folded end with a date fiber whipping c. 12 1/2 cm. in length 4 cm. below the whipping is another whipping c. 2cm. in length. The length of the fibers used as the whisk is 23 cm., the overall length c. 45 cm. Condition: Very dry and brittle, grey-brown in color. The whippings are still intact and in good condition.
