Notes: Brooklyn Navy Yard (between Flushing Ave, Wallabout Canal, Washington Ave and the Naval hospital). Major produce market, begun in 1877. Permanent buildings designed by William Tubby in 1894-6. The market was torn down in 1941 when the land was reclaimed by the Navy for war effort.
