CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Urn has flaring lip, concave neck, convex shoulder and tapering body with 2 scroll handles attached at shoulders and sides; tapers towards base; polychrome decorations on exterior with cobalt blue and gold. Scenes on either side of urn set within ovoid gilded cartouches depict ladies in rural settings; foot has decoration of cherubs and flowers. Base is square plinth with concave sides.
Lid has peaked finial and decoration of pink roses on white ground. One of four manufactured.

Condition: Excellent, except for some wear in the gilt around the handles. February 22, 1973, a piece of rubber backed carpet placed under iron screw and some new gasket rubber placed between boddy of urn and base that is held on with long iron screw.
