    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Dome-shaped painted mud and straw sealing or stopper, doubtless originally from the neck of a storage jar. Remains of white and red pigments.The inscription is painted in black on a yellow ground. A large cartouche with yellow background and black letters runs across the top of the sealing. The inscription is considerably defaced but seems to refer to a feast of the Aten. The balance of the surface was painted white with a black and bright red border around the base of which only traces remain. The beginning of another cartouche (?) is seen at the lower edge. Condition: Intact, but painted decorations badly defaced. Flaking and powdering of outer surface.
