Impressed on underside, from top to bottom: (1) Partially struck stamp, only legible part is "NEWPORT" arching above stars and what appears to be the top portion of a shield. (2) Row of small square stamps containing, from left to right: "T"; "M"; possibly two other stamps that are completely worn down.
