What material are these made of?
These silhouette portraits are printed on paper and then framed. The prints do indeed demonstrate some very fine lines! I believe the frames are made of wood.What do you call these?
These are known as silhouette portraits. Stylistically, they are meant to resemble Roman coins and cameos. They would have been made by untrained artists and represented friends and loved ones.
