CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
An oil painting of Dona Ana, by an unknown artist showing her seated in a semi-three-quarter view and length facing the right side of the picture. Her black hair is parted in the center with curls at either side. She wears gold drop earrings, and a long heavy gold chain ornament around her neck. The gown is black velvet with a pointed bodice and an off-the-shoulder neckline which is edged with white lace. The three-quarter sleeves also have a lace ruffle. She wears white gloves. Don Ygnacio Cecilio Algara Gomez de la Casa was her husband, and the laces, and fans in the Museum belonged to her.
Condition: Good, through there are many small cracks along the bottom, the dress, shoulders, and on the left edge, and right side near her head.
