CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Small squatting statue of the scribe as reckoner of gold, Amenemhat, in fine, hard purple sandstone. Preserved portion in good condition. The sculpture is of the conventional “block” type and is of excellence workmanship. The inscription is well cut and runs down the plinth, around the base and down the center of the body (front). Hands crossed on knees. Condition: Head, right shoulder and adjacent parts of body missing. Upper part of plinth missing.
