    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Thin-walled, blue-green faience vessel fragment from the upper portion of a chalice with two registers in low relief. Upper register show lion couchant in front of stylized plants; lower register show swamp scene with child king squatting on papyrus blossom. Part of rim preserved. Inside is also glazed. Condition: Sound, fragment. Very slight discolorations in some places; outside is more blue than inside; light brown in break. Lip worn.
