CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Limestone sculptor's model of the type of head used on the large monolithic stone coffins of late date. The face is a type, with very regular features. The ears are at right angles to the head. The headdress is very plain and is broken off sharply at the ears. Models of this subject are extremely rare. Condition: the chin, nose, and mouth are chipped. There are minor scars on the surface. Probably the lower part of the headdress is missing although the breakage here may be intentional.
