    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Blue glazed faience statuette of ithyphallic man squatting on square base with curved front, fragmentary condition. Knees were raised, feet on ground, body frontal, erect phallus, position of arms uncertain. Manganese decorations preserved on lower hip area; they consist of flanked spiral patterns within floral branches and border of lotus petals (?). This skirt supported by crossed straps on torso. Condition: Poor. Head, arms, entire right leg, portion of left leg, phallus and part of base lost. Assembled from six pieces with part of torso restored. Glaze largely lost, numerous chips. The medium is interesting as it has the “extra layer” in white between the body and the glaze.
